Session Recap
Frequently Asked Questions
In general, I have a pretty generous radius I'll travel around to get to our session together and I'm not really keen on charging the client for those costs. The travel time, my gas, my parking, and my mileage within 100 miles of me: I'll just eat that, no worries. Beyond that 100 miles, we'll have to chat.
Permits and permissions to photograph in specific places, I can just add that to your invoice. Those types of fees would be your responsibility to cover, but I can front them (within reason) so you don't have to stress about getting them in advance of the session.
Life happens and I totally understand, as solid a plan we might have there's no way of knowing that the unexpected might happen and you have to cancel or be late.
In general, a cancellation is just a reschedule in my book. Nothing changes about the session details besides the date. Any costs associated would be the client's responsibility - such as getting new permits and the like - unless I was the one who canceled.
If you're going to be late, I'd love a phone call and usually have no problem letting that time overflow outside of our scheduled time - outside obligations pending. But weather, timing of light, availability of location or permit, a lot of things could be hindered by a bit of tardiness which might warrant rescheduling the shoot. Just give me a call and we'll work something out!
All of these details are covered in the contract, which is signed by both parties before booking.
Your pets are 100% part of your immediate family and I definitely won't charge anything extra to have them be a part of our session!
My only requirements:
- You have a non-participant handler available to care for them so that you and I don't have to worry about them while we're focusing on the session.
- You understand that pets - like children - aren't always perfectly agreeable. I can never guarantee their cooperation or what they might look like in your photographs.
Long story short: bring the furballs!
